What You Believe In--New Tiddly Inks Images!

Monday, September 8, 2014

Hi Everyone! It's time for a new week, and what better way to start it than with some fabulous New Tiddly Inks digital images! Christy's new Halloween Fairy Tale images are so cute, and you can make them spooky or sweet, depending on how you color them.
There are four new images in the new release, and I used three of them for this card, the Dark Queen, White Queen, and Drago. I also used one of the Princess Castles, a foggy background image, a checkerboard background image, and a text background to create a fun fairy tale scene. Since these are all digital images, I was able to resize, flip, and layer them in my photo editing program (I use Paint Shop Pro X6) until it was exactly what I wanted, then I added a colored translucent layer over the checkerboard and text backgrounds to give it color. The castle, dragon, and queen images were colored with Copics. I added Glossy Accents to the wrap around the Dark Queen's waist to give it a patent leather look, and to the top of her staff. It doesn't show up very well in the photo, but I used a gold Spica pen on the White Queen's collar and waist, and clear Wink of Stella to both queen's eyes. To color the castle, I used the chisel end of my Copics to randomly make "bricks" on the castle walls and "shingles" on the roof turrets. The Dylusions sentiment is heat embossed, and continued on the inside of the card.

After sponging Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink heavily around the edge of the image panel, I matted it with a piece of lavender cs, then popped that up with foam tape onto a piece of smoky blue cs.
The continuation of the sentiment is heat embossed on the inside of the card, and I added a lavender flourish die cut, just to bring a bit more color inside.

Now, how about a little fairy tale fun for yourself? All these images and more are available now in the Tiddly Inks Shop, and you can see the gorgeous DT samples, using these images, here! Oh, and, dont' forget...you've still got time to enter our Pop of Color Challenge, too!

Have a wonderful week!
